    Pennebaker did not advise therapeutic writing every day. His program is 4 days a week for 6 weeks. There is a point of diminishing returns.

    This is good idea.
    The distraction of moving pen over paper can create the essence of who we are from an abstract mind concept or perhaps target.
    We often don’t achieve this illusory place but thats fine because we aren’t really an idea in the first place, we just are.
    Removing delusions is essential to creating the conditions to achieve ” individuation” that unique personality fingerprint unsullied by fashion, or peer pressure or the malefic siren of the media.
    Given this freedom of expression, there comes a point where we find out that we are no longer broken, so there is no need to fix ourselves.
    Yes the law of diminishing returns.
    So welcome brave new world and hippity hoppity skippity, until a bit of a crisis…But we can then re-engage that journaling process to explore and find a solution as we did before.
    For those less inclined to write, an on camera soliloquy on your lap top can help too.
    The point of thinking you’re Ok is the point when people see you are you are, warts and all.
