4 thoughts on “Always Late? Try These 5 Tips for Better Time Management

My wife has this and it drives both of us nuts. I’ve tried reminding her of the time, not reminding her which doesn’t work. It just adds to the already stressful situation of getting ready to get out the door. I now don’t get involved with moving her along and I think it’s better that way. If she asks I’ll let her know what time it is.

Hi Rick! It’s true that attempting to push people with ADHD along when they’re preparing to leave doesn’t work. It creates pressure and that just makes the situation worse which is why having clocks/timers, for example, to serve as “passive” reminders is generally more effective.

Great article! I do not have ADHD, but come from a family that views chronic lateness as “normal” and I struggle with it. The tips you gave are great and I am going to put them into practice! Thanks!
