  1. Thank you for the article. I haven’t been able to quite put my finger on this issue before. I keep wondering why I stayed married to a covertly agressive narcissist for 20 years. He was always trying to make me feel guilty. But I really didn’t feel guilty. It is shame. My feelings were minimized as a child and I was taught to thinks the most of other people and to not be intrusive and to just ignore it and it will go away approach to interpersonal problems. When someone was upset with me I went to the spot of “what did I do wrong” instead of recognizing the bad behavior of other people. I am easily shamed!!! Thank you for helping me recognize this quality about myself!!
