3 thoughts on “4 Steps to Getting Unstuck

The minute we notice we are stuck, we are in the present, and can make another choice to get unstuck.

Though I know that’s not an exact quote from your article, it is the most important one — for me. It’s the essence of mindfulness and staying in the present.

I learned this type of mindfulness first through CBT, (Cognitive Behavioral Theory.) Later, I attempted to learn it more deeply through DBT, (Dialectal Behavior Theory.) And I found your article quite helpful.

The thoughts and feelings that happen so very swiftly, and without our conscious awareness, create within us that stuck feeling. The simple act of recognition – recognizing our thoughts and concomitant feelings that lead to our being “stuck” – leads us to the way out of being stuck! Recognizing that we have choices.

What a freeing release choice is!

    Thanks for sharing.

    Peace!

This a very useful blog. But I see that you are not using “tags” in your articles. It’s can be great in order to find and connect other posts, for example “Monday Quotes”.

    Thank you đŸ™‚

“When you notice yourself wandering into past habitual ways of being, know that is expected and just gently guide yourself back.”

Such an important point for me. Rather than fixate on what I’ve done wrong, I find it much more encouraging to take it easy on myself when the inevitable slip-up happens.

    Thanks for the great post!
