    I definitely can relate to this. I have MDD with anxiety. Like you wrote, warm water does feel good. But there’s an aversion that I can’t describe yet which interferes with bathing.

    I am another one that finds showering hard, so bad that, for a time, I would actually dissociate in the shower and lose time, up to 2 hours. And, as you say, it is not that warm water coursing over me is unpleasant.
    I too have a small dog who helps to keep me going. Dogs (even any pet) are a great comfort.

      Hi Christine, thank you for sharing. Yes, I find this to be a real and salient issue in living with depression. I’m so glad you have a dog who keeps you going. A pet’s love and presence are invaluable!
