    Hey Shannon,
Thought-provoking post! I have actually wondered about the sleeping thing too. I am a person who likes my sleep and sometimes after a stressful day, there’s nothing like shutting down temporarily and either taking a nap or curling up with a good read.
I know the Bible says that God “neither plumbers nor sleeps” but I don’t recall the same being said for us. I’d LIKE to think that because Heaven is a place of joy and perfection, everything that makes us happy HERE is present for us in Heaven. Things like: our beloved pets, friends to talk with, dine with, the ocean and other parts of nature, a baby’s laughter, great music, books, sunshine, sleep, good food, etc. Of course, since people have different interests and requirements for happiness, that would mean different things for different people and THAT could get COMPLICATED lol! And then there is the obvious question of “What if a person needs things to be happy that are not Godly such as meth or a bunch of Playboy bunnies?” What then? LOL. I highly doubt God is going to say “Sure, My child, you can get wasted here…”
Sometimes I wish it wasn’t all such a mystery and that the Bible would be clearer and more specific!

I wholeheartedly agree! Why keep it such a mystery? Sheesh! But I’ll tell you this – if my animals aren’t there when I arrive I’m turning right around to go wherever they went!

LOL! I bet they’ll be there waiting for you. At least, I hope so because I have a few pets from when I was younger that have passed away and I miss them dearly!
