    Hi Erica,

So sorry to hear about your lifelong struggle with sleep. I wonder if you’ve tried CBT-I yet (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia)? It’s successful for 80-90% of the people who try it and you can do it for yourself with this book: Say Good Night to Insomnia — or you can look for a provider in your area who is skilled at this type of therapy (any accredited sleep center near you can point you to someone).

I spend half my week doing CBT-I with adults and the other half, you’ll be happy to hear, helping kids ages 3-10 sleep better by teaching their parents how to be great “sleep coaches” for them. There are so many kids with sleep problems that I wrote a book to help parents learn how to do what I do (Become Your Child’s Sleep Coach, out September 3).

Feel free to chat with my on twitter anytime @drschneeberg, OK?

    All the best,
