Wow – I could have written this article myself. There has to be some way of treating this condition. My partner and I have been married – and he had an affair. Once we divorced and he moved out – we were having sex again. As soon as we got back together – bam – no sex. I’m a fighter and I refuse to give up and let this ruin us.

It is hard not to be judgemental on your article, but I admire your willingness to share and try to rationalise, while you still shine.
To me, you have not made a connection at the level that would elicit a commitment. As a bit on the side, you fulfil a role, which your boyfriend is controlling.. When you demanded commitment, to avoid confrontation your “boyfriend” sounded like he was agreeing. In reality he left you, until you indicated you would be willing to be a bit on the side again. Your efforts to form a real relationship which are always at the back of your mind, have failed because you still don’t have a connection. You will need to develop a caring, sharing, involved, exciting and fulfilling relationship, before you will get the commitment you want. Love is a big word, with many different meanings on many levels. Unwillingness to make a commitment is not an indication of a Madonna/Whore complex. He is simply frustrating your plans and you are seeking an explanation where you still shine.
