My 8yr old has just been diagnosed with ADHD and he seems to fit the hyperactive category–I’m eager to hear the final report from an in-depth assessment we’ve just finished. I’m curious, is there a particular med that tends to be more effective with the hyperactive ADHD child? His doctor has indicated that my son will benefit from a comb of meds and therapy and I’d appreciate any knowledge you have on the subject

I hope this response finds you! I don’t know much about medication for ADHD (I’m not a medical doctor), but I do have plenty of information on natural ways to treat ADHD. You can find my blog about that here: http://bit.ly/1OWIZ2U

Or you can ask me any specific questions you need to know. We have lots of natural remedy solution, even beyond what’s in that blog. I’ve also written posts on Behavioral and Occupational Therapy (both in-home and in professional settings). If you’re interested in either of those, you can find them here:

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Have you seen your medical doctor about this, yet? If not, that’s the first option I would suggest!
