3 Tips For Students In College With ADHD To Succeed!

Introduction

Are you a college student?  Are you stressed out and overwhelmed about college already?  If so, continue reading this article.  This article will provide you tips to do well in college with ADHD.  They include: going to class, working hard and playing later, in addition to being realistic.

Go To Class

According to childmind.org, the first tip to succeed in college with ADHD is to go to class.  Students with ADHD can be overwhelmed easily.  However, do not become overwhelmed.  Come to class.  If you are having difficulty with the course material, do not skip class.  Go up to your professor after class.  This portrays confidence.  The professor may recommend the Student Success Center, where you can see a tutor to do better in the course.  Do not give up!  You can succeed.  Believe in yourself.  You can do it.

Work Hard And Play Later

In addition to going to class, according to childmind.org, the second tip to succeed in college with ADHD is to work hard and play later.  It may be a Thursday evening and your friends may want to go out to dinner and a party.  However, you may have a paper to write.  What is more important?  You already know the answer.  The paper.  Good job!  Students with ADHD especially may become victims of peer pressure.  However, do not fall into this trap.  Be your own, unique individual.  Write that paper and play later.  Get that A on that paper and succeed.  You will see the difference in your demeanor and grade once you get the paper back.

Be Realistic

In addition to going to class and working hard and playing later, according to childmind.org, the third tip to help college students with ADHD succeed is to be realistic.  For instance, if you get a C or D on a paper or an exam, do not panic.  There is still hope.  Study harder.  There is always the next paper or the next exam.  You can do it.  Students with ADHD can become discouraged easily.  Do not fall into this trap.  Be brave and determined and willing to succeed.

Conclusion

To end this article, three specific tips for college students with ADHD have been mentioned.  They include: going to class and not skipping class, working hard and playing later, in addition to being realistic about your test grades and writing papers.  The sky is the limit with college.  You can succeed.
