coping with uncertainty with ADHDIntroduction

With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, the mind is constantly operating. It is constantly thinking to the point where a person’s thoughts become scattered. This leads to restlessness. Therefore, with a scattered thought process and constant restlessness, the question remains how does a person with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder handle the uncertainty with one’s daily routine. Keep reading this article if you would like to find out. This article will explore coping skills to handle the uncertainty associated with one’s daily routine with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. They include living in the moment and engaging in deep breathing exercises.

Living In The Moment

One of the main ways to handle the uncertainty with one’s daily routine with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is through living in the moment. With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, if your mind becomes scattered with various thoughts, you are not living in the moment. You are either thinking about the past or the future. This is not an effective way to live. Instead, when you live in the moment, the uncertainty associated with the daily struggles of your routine diminishes. You begin to realize that you cannot control the past or the future. You are living in the moment. The present is the only aspect of your day that you can control.

Engaging In Deep Breathing Exercises

In addition to living in the moment to handle the daily uncertainty associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, another way to handle the uncertainty with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is through engaging in deep breathing exercises. According to One Powerful Word, “Breathing increases pleasure-inducing neurochemicals in the brain to elevate moods.” When this occurs, a person’s mood with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder improves and becomes more stable. In addition to elevating one’s mood with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, deep breathing can also boost energy levels and improve stamina and relieve emotional problems to name a few.

Conclusion

Dealing with the uncertainty of one’s daily routine can be a struggle for anyone. However, for someone with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, it can be a grueling, stressful task. However, despite the uncertainty associated with one’s daily routine with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, there are coping skills to manage the uncertainty associated with one’s daily routine with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
