One of the things I have always struggled with is school due to suffering from ADHD. However, after establishing structure as far as school is concerned school became much easier for me. I would like to share some of the ways I have succeeded in school with ADHD. They include studying at least a week in advance for tests as well as reading all the material for the courses that I am enrolled in.
Studying At Least A Week In Advance For An Exam
I have never been one to cram for an exam. This method has never worked for me. If I crammed for an exam, I would panic. My anxiety would overpower me, and I would not do very well on my exam. Therefore, I study at least a week in advance for an exam. By studying at least a week in advance for an exam, I am prepared for the exam and do not have to worry about cramming for the exam at the last minute. By being prepared for the exam, I am much for confident and relaxed during the exam and am able to do well on the exam. Always remember to study at least a week in advance for an exam. You will see the results.
Reading All The Material For The Courses That I Am Enrolled In
Another way I have succeeded in school with ADHD is by reading all the material for the courses that I am enrolled in. Simply stated, if I do not read all the course material for a particular class, I do not understand what the teacher is talking about. As a result, I have to read the course material for this particular class, and I am behind in the reading for this particular course. Therefore, in addition to having to read the course material for the next class, I also have to read the course material for the previous class. Do not make the same mistake I have made. Read the material for each scheduled class.
Studying at least a week in advance for an exam and reading all the course material for the courses that you are enrolled in can be time consuming. However, it is worth your time, especially if you have struggled in school, while having ADHD, like me. Trust me on this one. I have seen results, and you will see results too. Believe in yourself. You will do great.
