Unfairly misleading to include descriptions of symptoms to watch for, that a person could not normally determine. How would an average person see “blisters in the eye” or changes in blood vessels of the retina?
And interesting hubris that your poll at the end didn’t include a choice for: “I already knew all of this”! LOL

Thank you Dr. Moore for this information! About 5 years ago I saw tiny blisters on my eye and it turned out to be shingles. Had I read something like you have here a while back, post I likely could have saved myself a lot of pain. I waited too long and allowed the blisters to grow which eventually turned into sores. As a result I lost part of my vision permenatly but thankfully can still see.

I love reading your blog posts!

      Hello, Sam,

Sorry to hear you had shingles in your eye (ouch!). Also glad to hear you did not completely lose your vision. Yep, all of us need to pay attention to what is going on with our eyes for sure. Glad you stopped by and posted!

Amazing all of the things that can affect one’s vision. I knew that diabetes can hurt one’s vision, but I had no idea things like depression and stress can harm it. Thanks so much for sharing.
