    Kim:

I find this very fascinating. I have a great deal of respect and admiration for those who have traversed their way through this process. It nearly killed me before I went through the exhaustive process of self-educating myself out of necessity. It was somewhat of a relief to at least find out what all was going on, both emotionally and physically.

Wow. That dark neuroscience component certainly does explain a lot, doesn’t it? I can’t remember who it was … Helen Fisher perhaps? … who said going though love addiction withdrawal is like trying to kick crack cocaine cold turkey when all that chemistry kicks into gear and all those chemical start swirling. For me, it certainly did feel that way, including the physical pain portion of heartbreak.

I’m just thankful that I made it out alive. It’s certainly not something I’d ever want to go through again, that’s for sure!

Thank you for the great article. I sure wish I’d run across your work back in the day (2011) when I was writhing in such pain and agony.
