    Loved your post, Claire. Mental toughness can be simply put as the strength to survive through a difficult phase of life. “Failure makes me try harder the next time,” Michel Jordan had once said. Setbacks and failures are a part of everyone’s life. The key is to see them as opportunities to learn and grow – as you say, leveraging adversity.

      Thanks for your response.

      I’d go further to say that mental toughness is not about just surviving, but rather, growing through adversity. In essence, we come to see it as an indispensable to the development of strength- much like resistance is necessary to muscle growth.
