Thank you. I was in a LDR (1000 miles) for 10 yrs w a guy I met when I was a teen & reconnected with when I was 49. He flew me up for 3 wk long visits filled with passion…and poison. I stumbled upon narcissism searching for answers. I told him what I had discovered, that he had NPD, begged him to get help & long story short he played me like a ten cent flute for 2 yrs & ghosted me on the day he retired. All the plans he painted for me about travel ing the U.S. in an RV; the cruises we’d take when he retired… nothing but fiction, fables, fairytales. I actually bought new luggage, a new wardrobe and was sitting by my window waiting for him to pull up and wisk me away. His texts that followed were short, evasive and few. He told me he had moved & bought a new home. He wanted me to visit when he got it fixed up. The texts stopped, his number stopped working. My emails were returned as undeliverable. Classic narc nightmare. I needed to read this. It’s been 20 months. My head knows. Its my heart that is stupid. I wouldnt go back for all the money in the world. I want nothing more than to stop grieving. This helped. Blessings.
