    I would like to see this topic extended to include personality disorders (eg NPD) as co-morbidities to eating disorders and perfectionism. Thanks!

    It’s so hard to have a positive self-image when we’ve all grown up bombarded by images of stick-thin, airbrushed models and headlines like “loose 15 pounds in 5 weeks!” and “how to keep him happy!” It should be about finding inner peace with who we are, including what we look like, but that’s easier said than done.

      Exactly! There’s so much of it that we don’t even realize how it seeps into our brains and makes us feel bad most of the time. Thanks for reading!

    You are completely right! To be able to overcome an eating disorder you must first accept yourself. No matter how much you try to change how skinny or fat you may think you are you must first change the attitude towards your imperfections.
