    My sister is a Dr of Pharmacology, she explained that most meds are still effective years after the expiration date, other are not it depends on the medicine.
    Also,,she said that if you store meds in the bathroom medicine cabinet that is usually located by a shower, steam breaks the meds down sooner. She suggests never storing your meds in a bathroom. Also advises that some meds do breakdown within their expiration date, that there chemical compound can change, making the drug ineffective or unsafe.

      Thanks for the great advice and validating my post… I think I would not take any chances on cancer drug or HIV or STD drugs. last thing you want is to die or spread infections/virus. Of course I am very ignorant on those types of drugs, I was mainly talking about mental health meds, something I’m for familiar with. 🙂
