Well, there was some discussion about whether I ate my brother’ and sister-on-law’s frozen wedding cake in the early 90’s-LOL. I am pretty certain I did not(by then I was fixed of ED), but it is kind of fun having the lingering reputation of a monster:)

I’m surprised that “forget about your disorders,.. enjoy a day off” appears on a Psyhc site. Sure, it’s well intentioned, if not a good idea, but discusses the seriousness of people’s issues. Shameful.

You can’t make a comment like this anonymously and just add a fake name and a fake e-mail address… I’ll allow it this once from EDMOND, OKLAHOMA.

LISTEN, we live with our “mental health issues” 24/7!!! We deserve and are entitled to a day off!!! NOT A DAY to stop taking meds or do what ever we want and be out of control… Rather, a day to “enjoy” life and spend time with friends and family WITH OUT having to be reminded every second “the seriousness of people’s issues”WE are THESE people!!! Your comment suggests to me, you might not be one of us… We, people living and surviving with mental illness and brain disorders need to remember that it is O.K. to enjoy life, to laugh, and to have fun with out thinking about the diagnosis 24 hours a day… Shame on you for not letting us live and have the same dignity shown to us as you would give some one that does not have a diagnosis…This is the very essence of my blog… To live again and enjoy our life as we choose!!! Not as some think we should live, down, depressed and weak cause we have a serious illness! NO, we can live with hope and work towards RECOVERY, it is possible!! We can live and laugh WITH OUT shame! No one can take that away from us, nor should they TRY!

Nothing shameful about this blog, Chato. You are right – we do deserve a day, or only a moment if we can get it – to laugh and enjoy. We all know what is hanging in the shadows waiting for us to finish. Why should be made to feel that we should be “suffering” 365 days a year – it is too much to shoulder most of the time – looks like your family had a good time – very nice indeed.
Have to say I’m really enjoying your ink blots.
