Today I Remember My Friend

Today I take moment to think about a good friend I lost to cancer a few years ago on this day November 13, 2016.

Markus Allen was full of life and love to laugh and loved making others laugh.  We were always testing and working out stand-up jokes.  If he laughed I knew I had a good joke.   He loved history and his biggest passion was his music and playing for others.

Our friendship grew to a point where I considered him like my own older brother.  And on more than one occasion, we were confused by others as kin or brothers. Must be because of our similar build and beautiful baldness maybe?  And the fact that we both loved a good laugh.

His Mother gave me one of his guitars picks last year, and I mad a cheap fridge magnet out of it.

Markus Allen when visiting often and would go to the Dollar Store to buy our kids gifts as a joke, saying he paired no expense for cheap toys for his family.  I know Markus would have loved the cheap magnet since “I spared no expense.”

Miss you buddy.

We’ve talked about taking medication the last few blog posts.  Whether you are for medication or for something stronger and all natural like COFFEE, I feel it’s a personal choice.
