911 Haunting Memories – Trigger Warning

Year by Year goes by and the memories still haunt me…Seventeen years later.

This is 911 Memorial Mental Health Humor cartoon…a recurring nightmare I have of paper falling in the gray sky. Looking at the cartoon makes me feel a bit anxious and stressed.  So, if it does that to me, and talking about 911 is a trigger…Then do not read beyond this point.

The toll for 911…2,977, but the toll keeps ticking  – as one person recently tweeted: “With many from ground zero still getting cancer & many  have died.”  “And so many have been afflicted with PTSD.”

That day, I was only watching the live footage of the Tower burning with paper falling and dropping from the building and I have this recurring nightmare.  Then watching live at 9:03 a.m. with half the world seeing tower two getting struck…Paper raining down – but this was no parade.

The Haunting Images of this Paper Falling seared into my mind forever changing my view of life.

Today, a day to remember, and I can’t help thinking that my most haunted memories are not just the paper falling.

It’s the who–that are among the falling papers–they haunt me the most.
