Four days into drawing a Daily doodle goal for each day this month. Today’s doodle could one day turn into a full Mental Health Humor cartoon. On July 2, I would try a “Tangle” style doodle. I started out with an optical illusion with squares… It was a total fail… I didn’t even bother shading it.
Time to draw: 40 min. Originally the doodle was drawn in less than five minutes. (see below) I was going back and flushing out the doodle taking a bit more time. I must point out, the longer draw time was fun, enjoyable, and a stress reliever.
The cartoon is a way to mentally prepare for many planned fireworks displays. The bangs, booms, and explosions can trigger anyone living with PTSD, or anxiety. It’s worth noting pets fall into that category!

“My parameters are simple: draw what comes to mind. Focus on a feeling and doodle it out…No color, just black and white images. I want to also try to add a time limit of 20 minutes max (something new). No, this will not be Zentangle, or “Tangle” but some principles apply and I may do a few of my own patterns.”
