Where Are They Now? Mental Health Hero: Linea Johnson

When we first featured Linea as a Mental Health Hero in 2011 she said,

I’m just a girl working to better the world’s understanding of mental health conditions by sharing my own story and by helping others to share theirs.”

She has not stopped helping others share their story as a leading advocate.  Shared with a purpose of building hope to end stigma for our peers struggling with mental health conditions.

She is the author of Perfect Chaos, Speakers, and Advocates.

Mental Health Hero By Chato Stewart

The following is a message from Linea:

I don’t really know what to say in my update other than I have completed my master’s degree from Brown University in the Executive Masters in Healthcare Leadership program.

I now work for the American Disability Act National Network and am a freelance writer on mental health and disability on the side for sites such as Girl Boss and Hello Giggles. I continue to speak nationally and internationally. I have also begun working in Vietnam to help train medical students on mental health, as well as to speak to doctors about their patient’s needs and experiences.

Some of my writing can be found here:

My website for my book (though it is in the process of major updates…) is here:
