Over the next few posts, I would like to check in on some of our past Mental Health Heros in a “Where Are They Now?” series.

Where Are They Now: 2013 Mental Health Hero – Kristin Selby Gonzalez

Since 2008, I’ve tried to do something every year for May’s Mental Health Month. My readers met Kristin Selby Gonzalez as Mental Health (Autism) Hero.  During the May’s Mental Health Month (I Started Observing with cartooning in 2008 for MHH), Mental Health America’s observance of May is Mental Health Month (Established in 1949 by MHA)…When I started it–I was only drawing cartoons and called it the “Cartoon-A-Thon”…which turned into teaching myself how to draw caricatures by drawing “Mental Health Heroes” – thus, honoring mental health advocates began.

It was an amazing experience, and I love to see where they (All past Mental Health Heroes) are today.  Let’s catch up a bit with Kristin Selby Gonzalez.
