Little Toss-Back Mental Health Humor

I have been getting some cartoons together for a webinar and took a trip down memory lane.  Here is a little toss-back Mental Health Humor cartoons going back to 2008.  Here are a few cartoons they may depress you… or may hit your funny bone.

Mental Health Humor Affirmations of the Depressed depression

MHH_Stigma_500The “Squishing Stigma” was among my first cartoons published in print.2012 Mental Health Humor - embrace our differences free range chickens eggs to the third power Cube Algebra- by Chato StewartThe 2012 Mental Health Humor – “Embrace Our Differences”  Is a good oldie that taps into my love of Gary Larson free range style.  Hey, no one draws chickens like Gary Larson.  But I took a stab at it. What  came out is a math equation to the “third power ” or more like 2or two cubed.  Math, see it is useful!

Prescription Dependency

This Mental Health Humor Cartoon, “Prescription Dependency” I posted in Winter of 2013. Yet I drew and inked the cartoon in the Winter 2012.  Why did I wait a year before finishing it?  In the “U.S. Winter 2011-2012 is Fourth Warmest in Recorded History” (  There was NO SNOW!!!  Hard to draw about snow when there is no snow.

Grass is Greener 2014

The “Grass is Greener” 2014 Mental Health Humor Toon…you see my new style, with cleaner lines and a sharp color and image.  Thanks to a tech upgraded.  Although the Humor is Cutely Gross or Dark Category.  One I like to play in a lot…draw a cute drawing with a gross joke…Since, I refrain from potty mouth humor in my cartoons captions. You know, doping a F-Bomb to beg for a laugh, instead I like to keep it clean, “G” rated. Something that me and my kids can laugh at BUT this cartoon is really “POTTY humor.”   The funny thing, is some people did not get it… That the grass is greener because of the poop being spilled on the ground or seeping in the land and is acting as a type of fertilizer.  Or maybe, they just did not want to get it.  Still this remains in my top 20 cartoon favorites.

1526_MentalHealthHumor- Ambiguity Aversion Alchol

I wanted to share this Mental Health Humor Ambiguity Aversion Alcohol.  I spent so much time drawing this cartoon.  But I think this is an example of over doing the joke with a message.
