My Top 6 Gorski on Charting cartoons On:

Billing Service

Here is my latest cartoon used for Medivance Educational Blog Series: “Gorski on Charting”, Increasing Revenue with Effective Patient Charting Screening, Charting and Patient Placement.

“An initial Assessment needs to accurately describe Patient Description, Presenting Problems, Brief Treatment History, Initial Diagnosis and Treatment Recommendations. In this blog, “Screening, Charting and Patient Placement”, Terry Gorski outlines example initial assessment.

Terry Gorski is an author, educator and consultant with over 40 years of professional experience in addiction and relapse prevention. He writes about relapse prevention, PTSD, and co-dependence, psychotherapy and recovery.” – Neisha Zaffuto

The Initial Assessment

An initial assessment needs to accurately describe:

1. Patient Description

2. Presenting Problems

3. Brief Treatment History

4. Initial Diagnosis

5. Treatment Recommendations

Chato’s Notes

In his “Gorski on Charting” article Terry did an assessment of a person in crisis. To draw my cartoon I made the connection to describe “Patient Placement” and “assessment” as if it was like going to a yard sale. This was mainly to better fit my Mental Health Humor style.

It’s funny I spent hours drawing the cartoons then the people at Medivance Blog post the blog with the cartoon shrunk to 300 pixel. 🙁 I talked to them but I think it’s a default setting on the blog. Fear not you can see the Mental Health Humor cartoon in all its splendid detail here at Psych Central.
