Protect Your Loved Ones with QR CODE ID

Awesome Dude

QR CodeID sent me this “AWESOME DUDE” shirt for helping them with some unsolicited website critique and advice.  I called them because I thought this was an awesome idea to use QR code with vital information in case some one is lost like a child (smart phone Qr code reader needed).

I envision many real world applications for the use of QR CodeID in mental health community. For example: if we are manic or in crisis it could be a helpful tool to get us the help we need. Or aid in contacting a family member for help.  You can put your unique QR code anywhere: on a shirt, hat, underwear (for those times when you’re too hot and running down main street nude seemed to be a good idea at the time – maybe, a tattoo would be better), on key chain or bracelet.  You can share as much info or just emergency contact info including what type of treatment you want if you are incapacitated.  I am not sure if you could use it as an Advance Health Care Directive form.  I’m sure, in time, they will have that option.

What ever the case, I believe if we can get the QR CodeID info in the hands of key people in the mental health peer movement, then they would see many more benefits then what I can think of at 3:30 AM.

Here is a video to tell you all about it.
