Day 24 of  National Health Blog Post Month gives us an opportunity to have as much time as we want in a day…No doubt, having unlimited amount of time gives people a slue of things one could do… something useful like me trying a weight-loss diet I could actually stick to.

It would be awesome if that could happen. It won’t and if it did, I most likely would just spend it (unlimited time) playing more and playing video games and P!$$ it all away.

It’s very hard for me to stick to anything. Especially, when I feel I don’t deserve to live and I have such a low-LOW-self esteem. I am amazed each day when I see or read about people sticking to a diet or being resilient to overcome some trial in their lives. It amazes me 2 ways, 1st: because I feel like that is how I live my life…Day in and day out is a struggle for life, sanity and recovery.

Yet the daily struggles with mental illness, go unseen by the masses and it’s overlooked or better yet, under appreciated as to how much blood, sweat and tears went into accomplishing something as simple as putting on your socks and walking out to check the mail. For many of my peers (and myself included), this simple act can be like crossing a field of broken shards of glass barefoot, blinded, bound and butt naked.

With this in mind, I answer the National Health Blog Post Month prompt/suggestion with the above weight-loss cartoon. “If I had more than 24 hours in a day…” I could finally lose weight.  But would that make me happy?!
