Snow Man: Oh, gosh, Next time I need to remember to get iced Green Tea!
Title: Proof that Green Tea isn’t good for everything
“Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one.”
– Chinese proverb
This photo on the left is a picture outside my mother’s house in Massachusetts. As you can see, the snow pile is still pretty high! It would definitely be a good day to have a nice hot cup of green tea. Green tea has been around for some 5000 years, mostly used in the Asian community. Green tea is tea made solely with the leaves of “Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing.”
The last 5 to 10 years, it has been the new elixir of choice for many. Even many supplements are now toting the value in potency of green tea. It’s suppose to help almost everything that ails you; from ulcers to cancer to depression even Alzheimer’s. It is a tea with benefits. One article I read entitled “Exercise and Tea Reduce Depression Among Cancer Survivors” shows: regular exercise and tea consumption helps breast cancer patients in their struggle against depression.
I’m not sure what hot green tea can’t do, but I am sure it can melt a snowman! And anything melting snow this winter is a good thing in my book! Talking about tea, I forgot to make my tea today…Although, I like the “Depression Tea” — you may know it by its English name… Earl Grey.
Do you drink Tea or Green Tea? If so, why?
