Humor Rx is an exploration into the therapeutic value of humor as well as a resource for learning how to combat distress in innovative ways. Each week will feature a new video clip of a comedian’s act in which they address their struggles with mental illness, relationship issues, familial dysfunction, and other personal problems that negatively impact psychological functioning. With a focus on techniques employed by stand-up comedians for combating distress with comedy, Humor Rx provides a road map on how to use humor as a psychological tool to ease suffering, build resilience and take control of what’s controlling you.
