Freedom From the Clock

“The white man’s clock” is a phrase that is probably not so popular anymore, but I read it many times in my exploration of Native American literature from the 1970s through the present.

    Hi Kristin,
What a relief to learn that I am not the only one who finds it increasingly difficult to live within a typical schedule!
In fact, this has been a MAJOR obstacle in returning to the workforce successfully. I have never been a morning person but I had to tolerate it as a child in school and later, within the workforce. I managed but always felt the need to follow what my BODY needed in order to best function. You are correct in saying most companies don’t permit that
