My wife has a 33 year old daughter that is a drug dealer. She sells and takes drugs (24×7). She even took the drugs in her 8 month of pregencey. In her ninth month she stop, and had a baby. Since then she walks on water in my wife’s eye. She has not home, money, job, or anything except for an old car. But she can’t drive it because her license was suspended for tickets. My wife wants her to live with us for a few month because of the baby. I so no. She can visit and live with her single Father (10 miles away). This has really hurt our relationship and marriage. It’s not the sam eas it was. My wife and even told me that she doesn’t love me as much as did.

    Got any advise ???

Dave: Thanks for your comment. Two things sound clear – Your wife and you are facing a change that neither of you planned and you love your wife ( good chance she loves you.) At the moment she is facing a maternal crisis – a child and grandchild. In these situaitons I always suggest people take their time – sometimes the unexpected happens. If you take a neutral stance, you will be available as a couple to handle the situation for a time. In that case, it is likely that your wife may even turn to you if things become unworkable. Maybe she will be eager then to hear your ideas about different arrangements. If there is a way to face this as a couple- everyone may gain – Thanks, Suzanne
