Food Or Bombs?

“War, children, it’s just a shot away, It’s just a shot away, War, children, it’s just a shot away, It’s just a shot away” Keith Richards / Mick Jagger

“Food or bombs? It is absurd that we need to ask this question and evil that we answer it wrong.” FeatherLeaf

Every dollar spent on the military is taking a dollar out of schools, hospitals, and roads. President Eisenhower said something to that effect when he warned us against the evils of the Military Industrial Complex. military funeral photo I often see the question as to why God allows wars? It is used to discredit the existence of a Loving God. After all, a God of Love wouldn’t allow such terrible suffering. A better question would be why does God allow natural disasters? That clearly is God’s bidding. Wars, however, exist solely because of the wickedness and greed of man. Don’t blame God for something he allows, point the fingers of accusation at the weapons makers, Wall Street, the bankers, and the politicians. It is those who are propagating the Satanic organized killing.

Why hasn’t the world ever achieved world peace? More strikingly why has war waged on planet Earth since time immemorial? We must not cast the blame on God but rather take a deep self-inspection. The obvious answer is that there is something wrong with society.

The primary reason for war rests on the choice of an individual. Do they live to help themselves or do they live to help others? Either we or self-seeking or we are serving. There is some overlap but in general, one falls into one of the two camps. It is those who are self-seeking that unfortunately, control our world. Power attracts the vilest element of humanity and thus the answer to the disgrace of our politicians. War is expedient as it shifts from one being a neighbor into being an enemy and legitimizes mass destruction so the foe’s resources can be stolen.

What the world has now is a wicked state of existence. “Peace with weapons in no peace” I believe, of all people, Squeaky Fromme said that but I can never verify the quote. Regardless of who said it, the truth of the words is striking. In the state of hostility that exists today all nations feel compelled to allocate massive amounts of resources on their military budgets. They are seemingly forced into the bombs over food out of fear of getting conquered. Everybody is fearful of their neighbors and for good reason.

So where do we go from here? Do we throw our hands up in the air frustrated and say what shall be shall be? No, there are practical steps that a person in society can take to help eliminate war.

The first step is self-education. Don’t rely on what you have learned in school or even college. You have been lied to in a grand effort of indoctrination designed to manipulate you. One must search out the dynamics of how things work, that is who is really in charge. In the United States, we have the myth that this is a democracy. There is this misguided belief that we can vote our way out our troubles. But even a cursory study of history will quickly reveal that wars rage unchecked under both Democrats and Republicans. So to put faith in elections as a solution is an ineffective strategy.

I am not saying that voting and the electoral process cannot somehow be integrated into an overall strategy. But to rely upon it as some sort of solution is absolutely stupid. This talk of a ‘blue wave’ is nonsense. I got a text from some volunteer from “Move On”telling to me to vote Democratic. I replied, “I will by voting for the antiwar and pro-worker party, and I suggest you do the same.” The response was that I would ‘immediately’ be removed from their list. This tells me that the Democratic party is not antiwar and not proworker if it was the solicitor could have engaged me using historical facts to prove their point.

If you could cut through the illusions, lies, and deceit that has been called truth your view of the world would be altered incredibly. As the Bible says “the Truth shall make you free.” Never allow somebody to chose who your enemy is. In fact, no human being is my enemy but rather the thoughts and ideas that motivate a person contrary to what is nurturing.

So the United States continues to wage wars all over the world. We have about 800 bases on every continent. The justification is that we are all doing this for the defense of our country. Do you really believe that? Or do you know better and simply perpetuate the lie? Perhaps you don’t see the effects of war presently but it is bankrupting our country and causing inflation. But if things continue down the road we are headed there will be another major war where the draft will be reinstated. At that time it will be too late to redirect that path of our country to a peaceful path. It is the duty of every human being to save us from the holocaust of a massive war.

Please check out my book “Without The Music.” It is the best of my song lyrics over thirty years. There are many song lyrics to read to enjoy or to collaborate with. Many touches on the ideas of peace and a better world.

This is an old one but still rings true.

War on War (nk1)

The dusty trumpets they sound
The people they gather around
We’re gonna have us a battle
A fight to make the nation rattle
A conflict we’ve never seen before
Yes we’re gonna war on war

Hear the people rage
We want peace in our age
Let the white doves soar
We’re gonna war on war

From New York to L.A.
Listen to what I say
Child put down your gun
Have fun in the mid day sun
Look in the mirror you’re a youth
And violence is not the truth

Hear the people rage
We want peace in our age
Let the white doves soar
We’re gonna war on war

As we sing songs of peace
Our numbers shall increase
Don’t call us fools or pass us by
See our banners lifted high
Love is the ultimate cure
Yes we’re gonna war on war

Hear the people rage
We want peace in our age
Let the white doves soar
We’re gonna war on war
