Don’t Be Distracted

“Money, so they say, Is the root of all evil today, But if you ask for a rise it’s no surprise that they’re giving none away”  Roger Waters

You do know how magicians work don’t you?. They keep your eye distracted by something and off to the corner they work their ‘magic.’ But if you know the trick you won’t get fooled. Life is the same way.

Magician photoIt is going to be hard to write this article as in doing so I am going to write some very unsettling truths. Even still I am not going to come out and write exactly what my religious convictions tell me, rather I will water it down. So let’s begin shall we?

Why is there so much discontent in the lives of people in the United States? I limit my discussion to this country because I do not have direct knowledge or enough expertise to write of another culture. But I would imagine to a greater or lesser extent all nations are the same. I cite the discontent by pointing out the crime, the high prison population, the endless wars, the abuse of alcohol and drugs and the general inhumanity of man against man.

We are controlled by people with credentials. Let me point out that almost all the people in Congress and the Senate are millionaires with college degrees. This holds true to the business world as well. However, most of the people in the country are not college educated and they certainly aren’t millionaires. So the truth is the public is not fairly represented. To justify their position they will point to their fancy diplomas and credits. But here is the thing, they are doing a terrible job and have been doing a terrible job for a long time. So, in essence, their credentials are worthless and in fact a detriment.

There is economic slavery in the United States. If you are unfortunate enough to be locked up in jail you could be put to work getting paid pennies for an hour’s time. When I stocked shelves I had zero input as to what I did. I had to put the products in a predetermined spot. I had to come in on the hours given to me. When there were planning meetings I was excluded.   And my reward for working very hard was a pay that I couldn’t even live off of. I remember when I worked as customer service I would talk to the men that worked in the warehouse. Some had good ideas. For example, they suggested that inventory should be done later in the year rather at the beginning of the year. The reason was that the beginning of the year was not good because of the closeness in time to the very busy Christmas season. If inventory was done in March instead of January the company wouldn’t need to hire extra help to perform the task. But the people in the warehouse were not even consulted about their own jobs. These people too were paid a salary that one couldn’t live off of.

Never allow anybody to tell you who your enemies are and never allow anybody to tell you what you should value. In fact, don’t even believe what those in power tell you about others without personally investigating it yourself. This brings me to the touchy subject of nationalism. Blind allegiance to the country is a bane. History, as taught in the United States, is in fact indoctrination. We are lied to on a continuous basis about things past and present. Most people don’t know why Lincoln or Kennedy was assassinated. The people in power fear the truth. That is why Donald Trump failed to release the files concerning the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It has been nearly fifty-five years since the deed but still, the public has not been told the truth. Ask the hard question, ‘Why is that?’ Of course, the United States has come out and admitted that the event that ‘triggered’ the Vietnam war, the Gulf of Tonkin incident never happened. People are trying to get the ‘Isreali’ attack on the U.S.S. Liberty noticed. There are glaring problems with the official 911 story. But if you press the issue they will try to cut you down.

Sports is something that is promoted because it takes the public’s attention away from the harsh and cruel issues of the times. Right now the World Cup is playing on the television but nobody is talking about the millions of people slowly starving to death in Yemen. You see while the world is focussing what is happening in Russia the Wizard is working his diabolical magic. People are screaming about Russia interfering with our election by a relatively small amount of posts on Facebook but nobody is pointing out the ‘Isreal’ through AIPAC has put in billions with profound influence. And please tell me why ‘Isreal’ receives more money than any state of the United States? We pay for their healthcare yet are denied it at home.

We live in a world where lies are presented as truth. Do you really own your home or property? If you do why do you pay taxes and why can the ‘government’ take it away at any time with emminent domain?

We live in a world where our politics, economics, and information are controlled by a few hands. Follow the money trail to see who owns what. How do banks get so much money that they can lend to entire countries? Why can banks lend money to the government with high interest but when the roles are reverse the interest is very low if none at all? Why when rich men are going to lose their money it is a crisis, but when poor people exist in poverty all is well?

Finally a comment about religion. Do the adherents of your faith practice what they preach? All religions claim to be religions of peace yet we have perpetual war. Actions speak louder than words. Ah yes, the magician has been very busy and in the end, his tricks are all a lie.
