Narcissist Versus Sociopath

“We came, we saw, he died, ha ha ha ha ha ha.”  Hillary Clinton.

“I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” Donald Trump.

The two candidates for president were mentally ill. Hillary Clinton is a sociopath while Donald Trump is a narcissist.

donald trump photoIf we lived in a just society both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton would be locked up in a psychiatric hospital. Both are clearly mentally ill. Many people agree with this conclusion. But it is funny that it seems Democrats can only criticize Trump while Republicans can only criticize Clinton. Objectivity and honesty seem to get crushed when it comes to politics.

Donald Trump started off all about Donald Trump. When in the first debate the question was asked, “Do you pledge to support the nomination?” every candidate but Trump raised their hand. From there it only got worse. Through belittling his political opponents, mocking handicapped people and inciting violence, Donald Trump showed that he had no scruples. My high point was when this self-professed Christian couldn’t even pronounce ‘second Corinthians’ correctly – a task that any small child who attends church could adequately handle.

This low road of Donald Trump full of lies and bold promises won him the admiration of a certain segment of the population. President Trump lies about his own activities. Everything he does is far better than it has been in the past. His inauguration was toted as the best attended when it was not. Perhaps the greatest telltale sign is the revolving door that ushers in and out Trump advisors. It seems that nobody can get along with this man. Trump is quick to take praise and even quicker to blame his failures on somebody else.

Trump also claims to be an expert on all things when his ignorance sticks out like a supernova. Trumps asking of why the United States can’t use nuclear weapons is a scary prospect.

Saying all this, Trump is probably not as dangerous as Hillary Clinton would have been. Trump is vain and egotistical, but I think in some ways a smattering of humanity still exists.

To me, Hillary Clinton is that cold blood, methodical killer. When she shows her true colors it is frightening. In her interview regarding the brutal death of Muammar Gaddafi, Hillary laughed with delight and glee. This unguarded moment with others is indicative of the true personality of Hillary Clinton. She hasn’t any care for others, but rather with brutal efficiency she will sacrifice others for personal gain. There are a large number of ‘mysterious’ deaths associated the with Clintons. Then there is Hillary’s career as a lawyer, her record as senator and secretary of state.

If Hillary Clinton had been elected president I am quite certain she would have started World War III. She supported both a no-fly zone and boots on the ground, two things which the generals said would have started a conflict with Russia.

Ironically it was Hillary’s ego that cost her the election. Bernie Sanders could be viewed as a ‘sheepdog’ – a candidate that espouses liberal values as a ruse. Sanders role was to excite the idealistic faction of the population and energize them. The idea is that Sanders would dupe people into joining the Democratic party when the party didn’t really represent their values. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say. I think that Sanders wanted to win and in the end, he did endorse Clinton.

Whatever the case, Hillary was handed a tremendous gift. All she had to do was handle the situation delicately. If Hillary Clinton had just embraced the Sanders supporters I am confident that she would now be president. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns of Sanders’s supporters, like the undemocratic influence of superdelegates, Hillary and her clique spit in their faces. When Sarah Silverman said, “To the ‘Bernie or Bust’ people, you’re being ridiculous.” The election was up in the air. If Hillary had rebuked Silverman, she would have won the election.

But as history was written, Hillary took it for granted that she would win, like a queen ascending the throne. Instead of being a unifier, she wanted to take all the glory for herself.

In the end, Donald Trump won and Hillary Clinton lost. Clinton went on to write a book blaming everybody but herself for her defeat.

If you like Dark Matters, you would like my science fiction book of that name.
