I loved reading this post. It validated my decision to take more “me time”, specifically in cutting out some toxic relationships with people and also with social media, i.e. Facebook. I feel better for having made these changes and while I feel guilty for not doing more for my kids, I know that ultimately it will be in their best interest to have a healthy Mom! Thanks so much for writing about this important issue!

I am so happy to read this, Dyane. You will feel better for it, and that guilt will go away, you are doing something for your kids by doing this for yourself. All the best to you.
