    I was so terrified when I heard this statistic on the radio as a mid 20’s person with bipolar depression and panic disorder but it’s for the most part treated.

    i’ve tried to find the original article asserting the claim. i have to wonder if it isn’t really some sort of ‘urban legend’? of course, lack of self care can be interpreted as a sort of slow motion suicide attempt. where are the data? what sort of methodology is applied to it’s collection? as a scientist, an empiricist, and just plain skeptic, i want to know.
