Lower holiday expectations. Took me years to learn this and it absolutely helps. Lower those expectations, right on!

I used to work in retail, from that side it is very depressing. Longer hours, selling out of stuff, rude people. One Christmas Eve I came home and cried. I was completly Christmased out. I didn’t care about it anymore, I wanted it over! It has taken me many years to get over those feelings.
THe feelings come up again when I am the one my family expects to put up the tree and the lights. I also wind up wrapping most of the presents, even my own from my daughter (she doesn’t have the time). I am not sure if I will everget over Christmas Depression.
