Dear Kathryn, I was pleased to see that people are finally starting to believe in the power of craft. I have suffered from depression for many years, some more than others. I learnt to trust in my inner creativity when I recently attended art therapy sessions in response to a hospitalization bought about in part as a response to severe debilitating pain following a car accident. Whilst in the sessions i was painfree and I learnt that I was capable of much more creativity and art than I had ever believed possible. Now I regularly attempt new crafts and revisit old skills I learnt as a child. Craft and creativity helps keep my mind focused and helps keep the bad thoughts in check. Craft keeps my hands busy yet lets me clear my mind of clutter. Keep on speaking out for the benefits of craft and creativity.

I am so glad to hear that you have had such a terrific experience in the healing process. I came to believe in the powers of craft through my own healing from depression. It is such a powerful tool.
