Wow…your article and every examples given resonate deeply with me, Dr. Meecham. Childhood trauma, check. Adult trauma, both physical and emotional, HUGE check. Leading to chronic pain with Fibromyalgia, check. I’m a woman in my late 50’s, trying desperately to embrace the “new” me. I’m trying to figure out how to move beyond the 24/7 headaches, and with migraines (for good measure ?) that sometimes last an entire week.

I’m an avid reader and researcher, and I look forward to learning more about your experiences.

I’m glad the article resonates. Please check out my website, MindfulBiology.org. The focus there is on improving one’s relationship with the body. I have found my own medical problems a lot easier to take since adopting a friendlier stance with the organism that gives me life. Not necessarily less pain and fatigue, but less stress. Thanks for the comment.

      Best Wishes,

Thank you Dr Meecham for sharing your journey. I have little doubt your story and insight will help many people. #HypoGal
