Will Meecham worked as an oculoplastic surgeon until neck problems ended his career at the early age of forty-two. In the aftermath of this loss, psychiatric vulnerabilities left over from a traumatic upbringing led to many years of deep depression and intense anxiety. This forced him to explore the popular and technical literature surrounding mood disorders and trauma. Combining his study with professional help, he gradually gained ground against these difficulties.

The result was a toolbox, of sorts, containing many techniques for fostering wellbeing. Dr. Meecham now speaks and works in the mental health arena, spreading the message that suffering can be reduced by using methods that are daily being either rediscovered or newly devised.
