One very important way of maintaining self-confidence is to NEVER believe the negative comments of people who supposedly “love” you. In fact, the best thing in this case is to put that person out of your life.

      Truer words were never spoken!

I have found I need to reserve comment on many things. It is quite often taken “the wrong way” and gets me in trouble if I say what I really feel. (It gets back to the boss and I hear about it later…). Even if I am right, it seems there’s something about the ‘delivery’ that causes upset. Any suggestions for getting your message across without always getting yourself in trouble?

This is a great question, Kim. Everyone has different communication styles, so you need to learn what works best for each member of your team. It’s also about expressing yourself at the appropriate times, so in some cases, listening is the best course of action. If something is bothering you, it’s important to speak your mind, but it’s just as important to use the right language so your message is received well. Hope this helps!
