Kanye West Supports Kim Kardashian After Gun Incident
This is a crazy world we’re living in and, while celebrities may be insulated against many problems facing the average person, they may actually be at an increased risk of dealing with irrational, scary people. Whether they have to fight for protection from aggressive paparazzi or stalkers, stars often face issues that most of us will never understand.
Kim Kardashian is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Sure, she’s a bit polarizing since people tend to either really love her (and her family) or really hate her but she’s well-known in her own right. When she married Kanye West, she became even more high profile.
This past weekend, while in France for Paris Fashion Week, Kardashian had a harrowing experience. Her spokesperson told E! News: “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
Her husband was back in the United States performing at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, New York. Apparently, West was in the middle of performing his hit “Heartless,” when he abruptly ended his show citing a “family emergency.” Later in the day, the venue addressed the situation on social media and posted: “Due to an emergency, Kanye West had to end his performance early. Please get home safely.”
It’s great that he was willing to drop everything to be at his wife’s side after, what most definitely, was a terrifying experience. So many people give them grief, as a couple, but they do seem to really support and care for each other. Fortunately, Kardashian was not alone as she waited for West to make his way to France since her mother and two of her sisters were also in Paris for Fashion Week.
There was no mention of the couples’ two children, North and Saint. Hopefully, they were not anywhere near this incident. Either way, it must have been emotionally traumatizing.
