Hello, sweet readers!
It’s with a bittersweet smile that I announce I’m resigning my role as writer for ‘Celebrity Psychings.’
With the help of Dr. John Grohol and Psych Central, I started ‘Celebrity Psychings’ in 2008 in hopes of using celebrity events as ways to educate readers, promote mental health advocacy, and eradicate the stigma of mental illness. Although not everyone appreciates the mixture of celebrity culture and mental health, I felt it presented a learning opportunity and used ‘Celebrity Psychings’ as such.
However, due to work and life changes, it’s become too difficult for me to give the blog the respectful attention it deserves, and rather than continue on and risk providing you with subpar posts, I’ve opted to bow out and pass the keyboard to a new writer.
Psych Central and I are now looking for a new blogger to fill the role. For more details and to apply for the position, please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org with information such as:
- Your blogging experience, including links to writing samples or your current blog.
- Any experience you have in the mental health field, whether it’s professional experience or experience as a consumer or advocate.
- Details on how you’d manage ‘Celebrity Psychings.’ For example, the blog isn’t meant to be used merely as a celebrity news outlet. What can YOU bring to the table?
Please put “Celebrity Psychings Blogger Position” in the subject field. Psych Central will contact potential candidates with further instructions.
Thanks so much for your readership and remember, you can still find me at Your Body, Your Mind and Psychology Around the Net every Saturday morning.
