    thanks for the blog comments. our family is riddled with inter generational issues that have led to many toxic relationships and addictions in some members(even fatal) . it is painful to have married into it and now see the flaws being passed on by our children in their new marriage and mistreatment of others while clearly observing and linking cause and effect. feeling powerless to improve because bringing up the obvious has led to minimizing and detachment, not introspection and healing. while unhappy to be in the middle of it , your article helps to know that such instances aren’t imagined—they are certainly real. thanks again
