About Beating the Bully & Katherine Prudente, LCAT, RDT

Katherine Prudente, LCAT, RDTKatherine Prudente, LCAT, RDT is a licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT) specializing in drama therapy/psychotherapy.

Katherine maintains a private practice in the Union Square area of New York City specializing in individual psychotherapy for adolescents, young adults and adults. Katherine’s focus has been on anxiety and depression, surviving childhood trauma, navigating life transitions, relationship concerns, and assimilation/acculturation of racial minorities, especially with Asian Americans.

In addition, Katherine is a Counselor with the Freedom Institute Independent School Program. She provides psycho-educational workshops about substance abuse, bullying/internet behavior, relational aggression, body image and sexual decision making in over 50 Independent Schools in New York City.

Katherine received her Master’s Degree in Drama Therapy from New York University Katherine is nationally Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) by the National Association for Drama Therapy. Currently she is working towards becoming a Licensed Psychoanalyst (LP) at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center.
