National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month
Did you know October is National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month? To kick off the month of education, advocacy, prevention and intervention please keep checking in on the blog. I’ll try to keep up with the numerous events and news worthy stories out there – there are a lot!
- One site, stompoutbullying.org is asking people to wear blue shirts tomorrow, October 1st, letting the world know they are in the fight to end bullying in their community.
- On October 5th, there will be a Twitter Town Hall from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST. Participants will be anti-bullying experts, the DC Office of Human Rights and StopBullying.gov. You can participate by using the hashtag #BullyFreeDC.
- Lastly, check out Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center website on the month long initiatives you can take part it.
