About Dr. Bachmeier

bachmeierDr. Bachmeier is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the field of mental health for approximately 20 years. She has provided services to a wide population as a doctor of clinical psychology for over nine years. Her passion for healing, dedication to quality, and her genuine care for those she serves are evident in her work as a writer, psycho spiritual consultant, and health care provider for individuals who suffer from mental illness.

Dr. Bachmeier’s experience includes working as an Applied Behavior Analyst Consultant with Families and Individuals who are challenged with Developmental Disabilities and Autism and who were often dual diagnosed with Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Bachmeier has provided intensive wrap around social services to individuals with severe mental disorders including Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder within the community setting. Her Internship was at Sonoma Developmental Center working with Developmentally Disabled individuals with severe mental disorders.

Dr. Bachmeier then worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Napa State Hospital providing services to individuals with severe mental disorders and this included individuals who were forensically incompetent to stand trial or not guilty by reason of insanity. After that, she went to Guam to focus on improving services to the Guam Department of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. She has also provided tele health services to families and individuals with less severe challenges who benefited from psychotherapy and/or psycho-spiritual consultation.

Dr. Bachmeier is currently working within the California State Prison System providing clinical services to individuals who are both incarcerated and who also find challenges with a variety of mental health issues including Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and Dual Diagnoses. She provides training to clinical staff and ancillary staff, has developed educational training in the field of psychology, and has provided psycho-spiritual consultation as an adjunct approach to managing many of life’s challenges.
