I believe the article would have been better if you mentioned some of the struggles Brandon dealt with as the NFL channel’s show ” A Football Life ” did in their piece on him. It makes a story such as this more inspirational when it describes what someone had to overcome to get to where they are now. I deal with manic depression ( what bipolar was originally called. ) When the medical profession was continually changing how long a person was up and was down, I knew that the swings happened to me throughout the day. The psychiatric community finally caught up and called my condition ” rapid cycling. ” Unlike many people who suffer from mental illness, I wanted a label so I could find out all about it. It took a long time and many meds before the right combination was found. I’m sooo much better now. I wish I could feel better, but I thank God for where I am now. I know I have to take my meds for the rest of my life. I’ve been dealing with side effects for decades, but it’s a small price to pay.
