My daughter is 47. She is bipolar. She has lost her insurnce due to her spouse losing his job and can’t afford her meds. What can she do ? I am really worried about her as she is under a lot of stress right now which compounds her symptoms.

I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter’s situation. Have her talk to her pharmacist. There are often programs available from pharmaceutical companies or third parties that offer discounted medication.

Thank you so much for that information. I believe my son is Bipolar but is unemployed and has no insurance. He is 27 and our situation was the same with him no longer having insurance. I didn’t know how to help him. Thank you for giving me a place to start.
